Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nigel Achterberg started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute of the match Bart Nijhof shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tim de Vlieger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tim de Vlieger came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Molenvliet's Carlo Klasens. But to his dismay, Carlo Klasens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 14thth minute of the game Nigel Achterberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Molenvliet's Freek Bas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Felix Otten fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Molenvliet's protests and gave Felix Otten a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rhenooi V.V. booed when Molenvliet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Otten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nigel Achterberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freek Bas made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Roland Schepers sent off a good shot on target. Roland Scheperss short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Freek Bas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 20 minutes into the match, Molenvliet's goal looked a bit too open when Nigel Achterberg came free, but Freek Bas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Molenvliet's Freek Bas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Achterberg in the 22nd minute of play. If Nigel Achterberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rhenooi V.V.'s Roland Schepers got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gert Owusu Abeyie struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Tim de Vlieger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Molenvliet. Molenvliet's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bart Nijhof in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roland Schepers got free with Freek Bas in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roland Schepers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Freek Bas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 39th minute Nigel Achterberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freek Bas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Schepers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Freek Bas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 48 minutes into the match, Rhenooi V.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Klasens came free, but Tim de Vlieger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlo Klasens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Molenvliet's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Zethof came free, but Freek Bas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gerard Zethof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Klasens in the 54th minute of play forced Rhenooi V.V.'s goalkeeper Tim de Vlieger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim de Vlieger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Klasens in the 55th minute of play. Tim de Vlieger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlo Klasens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Roland Schepers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freek Bas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Achterberg in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute, Roland Schepers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joost Rijkaard scored 1-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Freek Bas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Freek Bas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Achterberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roland Schepers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freek Bas having to interfere. A hard shot 80 in the game by Gert Owusu Abeyie from a close distance when the talented Tim de Vlieger managed to make a qualified save. Rhenooi V.V.'s players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Klasens in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim de Vlieger saved Rhenooi V.V. from getting behind. If Nigel Achterberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Rhenooi V.V.'s zone, Carlo Klasens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim de Vlieger came out of the goal and Carlo Klasens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gert Owusu Abeyie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Owusu Abeyie might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tim de Vlieger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gert Owusu Abeyie ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Schepers in the 94th minute of play forced Molenvliet's goalkeeper Freek Bas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
