Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gerrie de Swart got the match started through his kick off. Harm Hoezen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirk-Jan Heitinga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, Dirk-Jan Heitinga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Matthian FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerrie de Swart came free, but Harm Hoezen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Gerrie de Swart had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harm Hoezen. Matthian FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerrie de Swart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Carsten Huisingh took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Harm Hoezen. Matthian FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 24th minute, Lex Roelofsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Vuilpan HC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Remco Reintjes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lex Roelofsens short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Gerard Schimmel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lex Roelofsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remco Reintjes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gerard Schimmel came out and tried to block the shot, but Remco Reintjes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 35th minute. After 46 minutes of play, Vuilpan HC's Dirk-Jan Heitinga made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harm Hoezen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Vuilpan HC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remco Reintjes to make the kick off. With a little luck, Matthian FC's Harm Hoezen got control of the ball when Dirk-Jan Heitinga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dirk-Jan Heitinga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Harm Hoezen firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 61st match minute, Matthian FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronald Maseland to maneuver through the defense. After 64 minutes, Mitchell Broerse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matthian FC and the Vuilpan HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Mitchell Broerse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Julius Hansma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronald Maseland during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matthian FC's Remco Reintjes got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Remco Reintjes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lex Roelofsen kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Dirk-Jan Heitinga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dirk-Jan Heitinga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harm Hoezen having to interfere. Remco Reintjes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harm Hoezen made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Dirk-Jan Heitinga sent off a good shot on target. Harm Hoezen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerrie de Swart in the 97th minute of play.
