Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Remco Reintjes started the match with the kick off. Harm Hoezen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Sloedingen, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Matthian FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Alwin de Ruijter hit a great ball. Sebastiaan de Visscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lex Roelofsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. fc PSV's Tjeerd van Gessel got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Robert Sloedingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastiaan de Visscher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remco Reintjes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Gertjan Meurs's late challenge caught a Matthian FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gertjan Meurs helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to fc PSV getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gertjan Meurs hit a great ball. Remco Reintjes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Sebastiaan de Visscher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastiaan de Visscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remco Reintjes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pierre Hoekstra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Harm Hoezen. Matthian FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sebastiaan de Visscher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lex Roelofsen in the 31st minute of play. If Remco Reintjes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Sloedingen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 37 played minutes Matthian FC got a freekick which was hit by Alwin de Ruijter. In the 42nd minute, Remco Reintjes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remco Reintjes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastiaan de Visscher having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Harm Hoezen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Sloedingen, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Remco Reintjes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastiaan de Visscher having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mart Sybring during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes fc PSV got a freekick which was hit by Mart Sybring. Matthian FC's Harm Hoezen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tjeerd van Gessel in the 67th minute of play. Menno Veldhuis kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Lex Roelofsen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastiaan de Visscher having to make a save. Remco Reintjes struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Sebastiaan de Visscher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matthian FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Sloedingen in the 84th minute of play forced Matthian FC's goalkeeper Harm Hoezen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. fc PSV's Sebastiaan de Visscher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save fc PSV from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute Robert Sloedingen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harm Hoezen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. fc PSV's Tjeerd van Gessel managed to work through Matthian FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tjeerd van Gessel dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in.
