Lennart Iemberge kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Martien Bakker sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rijen's Carlo van Zalen didn't even have to move. In the 7th minute, Jan Rein Heerspink made a precise shot to the right of Carlo van Zalen. Rijen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Carlo van Zalen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Rein Heerspink, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Rijen's Carlo van Zalen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Rein Heerspink in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koos Blanc in the 16th minute of play forced Rijen's goalkeeper Carlo van Zalen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlo van Zalen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Rein Heerspink in the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Electra HC's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Klijnstra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florian Iepstra. Roeland Waldijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Florian Iepstra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 39 minutes into the match, Electra HC's goal looked a bit too open when Thijs van Dessel came free, but Jan-Joost Klijnstra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Electra HC's Koos Blanc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlo van Zalen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 minutes of play, Rijen's Florian Iepstra made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Joost Klijnstra was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 55 played minutes Electra HC got a freekick which was hit by Johan Dissels. Jan-Joost Klijnstra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thijs van Dessel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Koos Blancs short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Carlo van Zalen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Electra HC booed when Rijen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thijs van Dessel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Koos Blanc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Rein Heerspink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Carlo van Zalen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johan Dissels scored 1-3 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlo van Zalen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute, Florian Iepstra made a precise shot to the right of Jan-Joost Klijnstra. Electra HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Thijs van Dessel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the game, one of Electra HC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Electra HC:s Jan-Joost Klijnstra showed great skill when he stopped Ralf Wander:s penalty. Ralf Wander scored 3-3 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Joost Klijnstra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlo van Zalen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Koos Blanc in the 88th minute. Electra HC's Koos Blanc got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rijen's Thijs van Dessel got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 97th play minute Koos Blanc came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Carlo van Zalen. 3-4. The Electra HC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
