Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fred Mastebroek kicked off to start the match. Marinus Hulzebos came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pierre van Persie could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Mastebroek got free with Pierre van Persie in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Bergen's zone, Gerjan Roewen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin van Rooijen came out of the goal and Gerjan Roewen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bergen's Fred Mastebroek got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Driehuizen's Pierre van Persie got control of the ball when Marinus Hulzebos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pierre van Persie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henk Zomer, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Mastebroek in the 37th minute of play forced Driehuizen's goalkeeper Pierre van Persie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Lex Bot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van Rooijen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias Polak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Edwin van Rooijen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Cor Velthuis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Driehuizen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cor Velthuis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lex Bot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Mathias Polak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jochem Dalmeijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Driehuizen's Lex Bot in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bergen's goalie prevented a goal. Lex Bot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marinus Hulzebos in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pierre van Persie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, Driehuizen's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Mastebroek came free, but Pierre van Persie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ted Klinkhamer fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bergen's protests and gave Ted Klinkhamer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, Ted Klinkhamer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Roeland Even in the 81st minute really tested Edwin van Rooijen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 81st match minute, Bergen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Youri Thole to maneuver through the defense. Lex Bot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin van Rooijen having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Bergen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Klinkhamer to maneuver through the defense. Cor Velthuis's late challenge caught a Bergen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cor Velthuis helped the player get up and apologised. Lex Bot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin van Rooijen having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Driehuizen had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
