Creil HC's Ab Wesseling pulled a muscle in his back after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Creil HC booed when Vlietwijk Eendracht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Ommen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sjors Elshot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Heikens having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rein Tamminga to make the kick off. Jaap Walregt hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Chris Pietersma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chris Pietersma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vlietwijk Eendracht booed when Creil HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Coos van Zijderveld didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Chris Pietersma came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Vlietwijk Eendracht fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Pietersma couldn't finish the play. When Sjors Elshot fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vlietwijk Eendracht's protests and gave Sjors Elshot a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vlietwijk Eendracht's Sjors Elshot got a free kick in the 67th minute. Dick Wessel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yorrick Veninga, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Rein Tamminga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Creil HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rein Tamminga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Creil HC's Paul Heikens got control of the ball when Chris Pietersma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chris Pietersma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Paul Heikens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chris Pietersma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
