Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dick Ooijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Brinks having to interfere. After 4 played minutes Molengat got a freekick which was hit by Boukjan Vervoort. In the 5thth minute of the game Oliver Aukes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Molengat's Jan-Willem van der Schaaf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 7th minute, Boukjan Vervoort hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute of the match Karsten Rekers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan-Willem van der Schaaf skillfully saved the ball. Oliver Aukes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Willem van der Schaaf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogier Dolfing's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Jan-Willem van der Schaaf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogier Dolfing in the 14th minute of play. When Boukjan Vervoort fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Molengat's protests and gave Boukjan Vervoort a yellow card for diving instead. Oliver Aukes struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Jan-Willem van der Schaaf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zevenbergen HC. Rogier Dolfing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jan-Willem van der Schaaf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boukjan Vervoort kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Tomas Baars hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Tomas Brinks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacques Steyns in the 34th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Molengat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiën van der Leegte to maneuver through the defense. Zevenbergen HC's Rogier Dolfing got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogier Dolfing was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Serge Baptist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Molengat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zevenbergen HC the free kick. Serge Baptist hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match Zevenbergen HC got a corner. Molengat's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karsten Rekers ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Karsten Rekers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jan-Willem van der Schaaf quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 61st minute, Boukjan Vervoort made a precise shot to the right of Tomas Brinks. Zevenbergen HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The long shot by Cees Bartele in the 65th minute really tested Jan-Willem van der Schaaf's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Jan-Willem van der Schaaf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oliver Aukes in the 70th minute. Rogier Dolfing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karsten Rekers's late challenge caught a Molengat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karsten Rekers helped the player get up and apologised. Karsten Rekers kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Rogier Dolfing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Molengat's goal looked a bit too open when Rogier Dolfing came free, but Jan-Willem van der Schaaf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dick Ooijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dick Ooijer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacques Steyns took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomas Brinks. Tomas Brinks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Boukjan Vervoort was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Zevenbergen HC booed when Molengat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boukjan Vervoort didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogier Dolfing in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Willem van der Schaaf saved Molengat from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Molengat's Jacques Steyns got a free kick in the 96th minute. Zevenbergen HC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
