Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Floris Collins made the kick off which started today's match. Koos Luijten in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tomas Brinks, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Deuteren HC defense, Oliver Aukes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilbert Steelman. The Deuteren HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilbert Steelman should have stopped the shot. Oliver Aukes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Steelman having to interfere. A collision led to Deuteren HC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Antoon Savenije hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Floris Collins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deuteren HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Floris Collins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Brinks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Zevenbergen HC's zone, Koos Luijten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Brinks came out of the goal and Koos Luijten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Marco Roewen fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zevenbergen HC's protests and gave Marco Roewen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Deuteren HC booed when Zevenbergen HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Roewen didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Floris Collins in the 28th minute of play forced Zevenbergen HC's goalkeeper Tomas Brinks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver Aukes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rogier Dolfing to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Floris Collins in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Brinks saved Zevenbergen HC from getting behind. Deuteren HC's Gilbert Steelman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Deuteren HC from getting a goal against them. Koos Luijten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Brinks having to interfere. If Koos Luijten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes Deuteren HC got a freekick which was hit by Koos Luijten. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogier Dolfing in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilbert Steelman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Brinks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Floris Collins in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Roeland van Zijderveld was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deuteren HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zevenbergen HC the free kick. In the 81st minute, Roeland van Zijderveld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogier Dolfing in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilbert Steelman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oliver Aukess short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Gilbert Steelman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zevenbergen HC's Tomas Brinks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koos Luijten in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute Rogier Dolfing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Steelman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliver Aukes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Gilbert Steelman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
