Warm VV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Planting was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronald Planting recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Riel SV:s Anthony Bruinsma showed great skill when he stopped Dirk Fokkelman:s penalty. Klaas Bijlsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Anthony Bruinsma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Riel SV got a freekick which was hit by Christijan de Freitas. After a rather tough play, Riel SV's Mathijs Donderwinkel got a free kick in the 26th minute. Riel SV's Anthony Bruinsma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaas Bijlsma in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Zoetebier during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 30 minutes into the game, one of Warm VV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Warm VV's Geale Boswijk pulled a muscle in his back after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 40 minutes into the game, Richard van Gaal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riel SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warm VV the free kick. After a rather tough play, Riel SV's Richard van Gaal got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Emile Weinands made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Emile Weinands got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Warm VV defense, Emile Weinands kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antoon Meerdink. The Warm VV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antoon Meerdink should have stopped the shot. Emile Weinands received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. In the 81st minute, Emile Weinands got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antoon Meerdink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emile Weinands, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Klaas Bijlsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Anthony Bruinsma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emile Weinands in the 89th minute of play forced Warm VV's goalkeeper Antoon Meerdink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierre Elders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emile Weinands succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. The supporters of Warm VV booed when Riel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent van Ankeren didn't get a good kick on the ball.
