Kurt Gerfen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 21 minutes, Hendrik-Jan Bekker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hallum FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hendrik-Jan Bekker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frans Hilbrands received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Tomas Colen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Gerfen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ger Clarijs, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A collision led to Hallum FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jan Teesing hit a great ball. Ger Clarijs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Gerfen having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Deijleroord FC's Fabiën Vrieze got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Frans Hilbrands had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, Hallum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Buys to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Deijleroord FC's Jan Baker broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 76 played minutes Hallum FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Buys. Fabiën Vrieze's late challenge caught a Hallum FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiën Vrieze helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 minutes of play, Deijleroord FC's Ger Clarijs made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kurt Gerfen was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 97th minute, Deijleroord FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frans Hilbrands fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
