Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Woudrichem FC's Frederik Hoekstra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Laaxum's Olof Greef sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Koos Gerseke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Jaap van Gastel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Koos Gerseke. Woudrichem FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaap van Gastel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Koos Gerseke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Greef in the 10th minute of play. Gilbert van Harten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 13 minutes, Olof Greef managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laaxum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olof Greef was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Koos Gerseke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaap van Gastel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Koos Gerseke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaap van Gastel in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, Laaxum's Gilbert van Harten made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Koos Gerseke was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Filip Been had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Laaxum's Koos Fens got control of the ball when Herman Hulsebos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karsten Hoogendorp hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Frederik Hoekstra let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 40th minute shot 1-2 at rihgt post. Herman Hulsebos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olof Greef in the 47th minute of play forced Woudrichem FC's goalkeeper Koos Gerseke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Laaxum were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Olof Greef made the kick off in the second half. Laaxum's Olof Greef got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Jaap van Gastel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laaxum's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaap van Gastel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Koos Gerseke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frederik Hoekstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Koos Fens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Woudrichem FC's Koos Gerseke got control of the ball when Jaap van Gastel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilbert van Harten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Olof Greef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Koos Gerseke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Greef, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Koos Gerseke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olof Greef's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Olof Greef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Koos Gerseke made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Jaap van Gastel sent off a good shot on target. The Woudrichem FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Laaxum were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
