Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Klaas Jan Colen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gert Jan de Boer scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kristof van Harten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kristof van Harten didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaas Jan Colen in the 16th minute of play forced Bilgaard's goalkeeper Kristof van Harten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jelmer van der Saar kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Brain Nyemanting received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Joop de Boer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Klaas Jan Colen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Klaas Jan Colen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eygelshoven HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Klaas Jan Colen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristof van Harten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 32 minutes, Jurre Zenden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bilgaard and the Eygelshoven HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bilgaard's Jurre Zenden got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Pierre Bekker hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Peter van Olst, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 36 played minutes Eygelshoven HC got a freekick which was hit by Ate Wander. In the 38th minute Jurgen van Rhijn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joop de Boer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joop de Boer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurgen van Rhijn, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brain Nyemanting stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Eygelshoven HC booed when Bilgaard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogier Bakhuis didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Klaas Jan Colen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Jan de Boer in the 56th minute of play forced Bilgaard's goalkeeper Kristof van Harten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Eygelshoven HC's Klaas Jan Colen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristof van Harten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jurgen van Rhijn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Joop de Boer made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Eygelshoven HC's Ate Wander got a free kick in the 61st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brain Nyemanting in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joop de Boer saved Eygelshoven HC from getting behind. Brain Nyemanting recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jurgen van Rhijn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Joop de Boer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Brain Nyemanting fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joop de Boer, passed just outside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bram Zwartkruis during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jurgen van Rhijn struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Joop de Boer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bilgaard. If Jurgen van Rhijn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brain Nyemanting blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joop de Boer having to make a save. In the 89th minute, Jurgen van Rhijn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Eygelshoven HC's goalkeeper Joop de Boer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Klaas Jan Colen scored 3-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kristof van Harten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Eygelshoven HC had won after a very even match.
