Rogier Gerrits showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Thole, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 7th minute, Herman Brugmans fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Richard Franssen, passed just outside the right post. Jan Hendrik Seinstra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Richard Franssen made a huge save. Richard Franssen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Brugmans in the 10th minute of play. Mathias Thole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute Mathias Thole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogier Gerrits saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herman Brugmans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Richard Franssen came out and tried to block the shot, but Herman Brugmans slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. Herman Brugmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gijs de Jong's late challenge caught a Laarakkers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gijs de Jong helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bahr HC's Gijs de Jong got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Bahr HC's Gijs de Jong got his second yellow card of the match in the 23rd minute. The referee ordered Gijs de Jong off the ground. In the 24th match minute, Bahr HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijs de Jong to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Laarakkers's Hans Daamen tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jan Hendrik Seinstra might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Franssen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Hendrik Seinstra ran back to his position shaking his head. Rogier Gerrits came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Bahr HC's Arnout Jol. But to his dismay, Arnout Jol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Herman Brugmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herman Brugmans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laarakkers's Hans Daamen couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bahr HC. 55 minutes into the match, Herman Brugmans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Franssen. Bahr HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herman Brugmans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 64 minutes, Anton van der Werff mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laarakkers and the Bahr HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anton van der Werff hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The supporters of Laarakkers booed when Bahr HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pieter-Jan Robbermond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Franssen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herman Brugmans in the 69th minute of the match. Richard Franssen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herman Brugmans went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Bahr HC's zone, Herman Brugmans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Franssen came out of the goal and Herman Brugmans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Bahr HC's Arjen Haar got a free kick in the 77th minute. Laarakkers's Jan Hendrik Seinstra got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rogier Gerrits didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnout Jol went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Kip during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Laarakkers booed when Bahr HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Kip didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Laarakkers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bahr HC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
