Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bert Been got the match started through his kick off. Fokshol's Hans Spoel got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 5 played minutes Loveren got a freekick which was hit by Reinhard Oorschot. Ronald van der Gouw struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Antoon Middeljans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loveren. 10 minutes into the match, Fokshol's Hans Spoel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michael Ruben narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute Ronald van der Gouw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoon Middeljans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Fokshol booed when Loveren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinhard Oorschot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Ruben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bert Been in the 22nd minute of play. Antoon Middeljans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald van der Gouw in the 28th minute of play. If Coenraad Deiman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Hans Spoel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tom Gerfen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronald van der Gouw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Antoon Middeljans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Fokshol's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald van der Gouw came free, but Antoon Middeljans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Ronald van der Gouw made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Tom Gerfen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loveren's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Gerfen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoon Middeljans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hans Spoel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hans Spoel fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fokshol's protests and gave Hans Spoel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fokshol getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Hans Spoel hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Fokshol's goalkeeper Antoon Middeljans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom Gerfen. In the 63rd minute Bert Been shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Ruben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bert Been scored 1-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Ruben, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 73 minutes, Bert Been managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fokshol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bert Been was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Loveren's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Spoel came free, but Michael Ruben reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Bert Been cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Michael Ruben was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniël Castelen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Loveren's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Spoel came free, but Michael Ruben reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reinhard Oorschot during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 94 played minutes Loveren got a freekick which was hit by Reinhard Oorschot. Michael Ruben took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bert Been, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fokshol had won after a very even match.
