Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dick Kielstra took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Kielstra in the 3rd minute of play forced Slochteren's goalkeeper Rolf Windmuller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolf Windmuller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaus Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sterenborg booed when Slochteren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiën Scheerhoorn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cor Schreuder's late challenge caught a Sterenborg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cor Schreuder helped the player get up and apologised. Cor Schreuder kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Fabiën Scheerhoorn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slochteren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiën Scheerhoorn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Corné Akkerman during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Slochteren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corné Akkerman to maneuver through the defense. Sterenborg's Menno Walstra couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Slochteren. Klaus Schmidt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Rolf Windmuller skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 28 minutes into the match, Slochteren's goalkeeper Rolf Windmuller had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klaus Schmidt. Dick Kielstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Windmuller having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Corné Akkerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cor Schreuder in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mark Berg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabiën Scheerhoorn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the game, Slochteren's Fabiën Scheerhoorn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mark Berg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half Slochteren were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Fabiën Scheerhoorn made the kick off in the second half. Rolf Windmuller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Kielstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Slochteren's Corné Akkerman got a free kick in the 55th minute. Rolf Windmuller came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Sterenborg's Dick Kielstra. But to his dismay, Dick Kielstra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Slochteren's Rolf Windmuller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Kielstra in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Kielstra in the 72nd minute of play forced Slochteren's goalkeeper Rolf Windmuller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dick Kielstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Windmuller having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Dries Krommert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sterenborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Dries Krommert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolf Windmuller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mark Berg made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Lukas Aalders sent off a good shot on target. Mark Berg was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Fabiën Scheerhoorn capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabiën Scheerhoorn really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Mark Berg had great luck who in the 94thth minute grab hold of the ball when Fabiën Scheerhoorn from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. If Fabiën Scheerhoorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Slochteren's Fabiën Scheerhoorn got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Sterenborg supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Slochteren's performance. The match ended with a win for Slochteren.
