Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Bram Wilminck made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 6th minute, Arie Spijker reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dirk Janssens. The goal made the score 1-0. Willem van der Meijde took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Hanekamp. Marco Hanekamp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 19 played minutes Maarland FC's Sjors Lucius stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Dirk Janssens stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Eperheide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Maarland FC's Erben Baardmam got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Marco Hanekamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willem van der Meijde in the 23rd minute of the match. Dirk Jan Greef hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes Ab Lodewijks shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Maarland FC's Marco Hanekamp to catch but Ab Lodewijks was lucky. It became 1-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. In the 34th minute Arie Spijker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk Janssens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Hanekamp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bram Wilminck, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Bram Wilminck might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Hanekamp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bram Wilminck ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Hanekamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Siepel in the 43rd minute of the match. Willem van der Meijde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Eperheide were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arie Spijker to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Maarland FC's goalkeeper Marco Hanekamp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bram Wilminck. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Arie Spijker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maarland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arie Spijker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dirk Janssens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dirk Janssens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arie Spijker in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Jos Planting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 played minutes, Maarland FC's Eric Tinselboer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dirk Janssens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maarland FC reached it. In the 65th minute, Edwin Bömker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Willem van der Meijde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chris de Wolf kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Eperheide's zone, Arie Spijker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dirk Janssens came out of the goal and Arie Spijker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Hanekamp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bram Wilminck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arie Spijker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Janssens having to interfere. A collision led to Maarland FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Chris de Wolf hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arie Spijker in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dirk Janssens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 87 minutes into the match, Eperheide's goal looked a bit too open when Arie Spijker came free, but Dirk Janssens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Eperheide had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
