Sven Ijsselhof showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douwe Bakker in the 3rd minute of the match. Tim Robben's late challenge caught a Tiel FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Robben helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lytshuzen HC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Tim Robben hit a great ball. Anton Oldenbeuvings short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Fabiën Ritsma to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fabiën Ritsma was a little too slow when Anton Oldenbeuving got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lytshuzen HC's goalkeeper Sven Ijsselhof, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Martien Castelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anton Oldenbeuving fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiën Ritsma having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Bert Mos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lytshuzen HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tiel FC the free kick. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiel FC's goalkeeper Fabiën Ritsma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Tim Robben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Sven Ijsselhof made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Youri Nedergaard sent off a good shot on target. Sven Ijsselhof was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Douwe Bakker showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 56 minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Mickael Houwing was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lytshuzen HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tiel FC the free kick. Douwe Bakker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Fabiën Ritsma dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Lytshuzen HC's zone, Douwe Bakker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Ijsselhof came out of the goal and Douwe Bakker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Youri Nedergaard got free with Sven Ijsselhof in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lytshuzen HC had won after a very even match.
