Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Theo Ricksen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Daniël van der Werff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Karsten Zomerdijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniël van der Werff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitrie Zandberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Ricksen, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After 8 minutes, Kurt Henselmans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zwartewaal and the Zethuis players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Zethuis booed when Zwartewaal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Henselmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dimitrie Zandberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freek Thijsse, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Dimitrie Zandberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freek Thijsse in the 16th minute of play. Japke Compaan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Karsten Zomerdijk came out and tried to block the shot, but Japke Compaan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. Zwartewaal's Freek Thijsse got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Geert Kuypers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zethuis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geert Kuypers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zwartewaal's Karsten Zomerdijk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Japke Compaan in the 30th minute of play. Rob Nieuwburg kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Ricksen in the 33rd minute of play forced Zethuis's goalkeeper Dimitrie Zandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Tanis hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The supporters of Zethuis booed when Zwartewaal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaas Kuijpers didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Geert Kuypers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Japke Compaan made a kick off. Japke Compaan got in the 54th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Karsten Zomerdijk handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Karsten Zomerdijk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Japke Compaan in the 55th minute of play. Klaas Kuijpers kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Geert Kuypers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karsten Zomerdijk having to interfere. When Zethuis's Geert Kuypers in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zwartewaal's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Japke Compaan in the 69th minute of play forced Zwartewaal's goalkeeper Karsten Zomerdijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Zwartewaal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob Nieuwburg to maneuver through the defense. Geert Kuypers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Geert Kuypers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karsten Zomerdijk was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. With a little luck, Zethuis's Dimitrie Zandberg got control of the ball when Freek Thijsse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Theo Ricksen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dimitrie Zandberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freek Thijsse in the 87th minute. If Japke Compaan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Zwartewaal's zone, Japke Compaan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karsten Zomerdijk came out of the goal and Japke Compaan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
