Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerrit Roordink in the 9th minute of play forced Zwartewaal's goalkeeper Karsten Zomerdijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Slikkerveer S.V. got a freekick which was hit by Gerrit Roordink. Freek Thijsse's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hub Hilbrands firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sjoerd Arts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karsten Zomerdijk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerrit Roordink in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Zwartewaal's zone, Sjoerd Arts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karsten Zomerdijk came out of the goal and Sjoerd Arts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerrit Roordink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karsten Zomerdijk having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Klaas Kuijpers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sjoerd Arts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karsten Zomerdijk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerrit Roordink in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute Sjoerd Arts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karsten Zomerdijk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sjoerd Arts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freek Thijsse got free with Hub Hilbrands in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Sjoerd Arts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slikkerveer S.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Sjoerd Arts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karsten Zomerdijk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Theo Ricksen made the kick off in the second half. Hub Hilbrands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Ricksen in the 53rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Zwartewaal's Karsten Zomerdijk got control of the ball when Sjoerd Arts tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zwartewaal's goalkeeper Karsten Zomerdijk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Slikkerveer S.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Freek Thijsse came free, but Hub Hilbrands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a left leg Hub Hilbrands saved Slikkerveer S.V. from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, Theo Ricksen notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Slikkerveer S.V.'s Hub Hilbrands. Hub Hilbrands was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
