Humberto Harms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Zijden in the 5th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Hanendorp VV's Edwin Sneijder got a free kick in the 6th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jhon Roelofs got free with Dimitrie Zandberg in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michael Overmars succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Michael Overmars managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hanendorp VV's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Overmars was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dimitrie Zandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Geert Kuypers came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Zethuis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geert Kuypers couldn't finish the play. Humberto Harms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Japke Compaan in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geert Kuypers in the 29th minute of play forced Hanendorp VV's goalkeeper Humberto Harms to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Japke Compaan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Harms. Hanendorp VV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Japke Compaan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Michael Overmars sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hanendorp VV's Jhon Roelofs got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Zethuis's Japke Compaan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Harms narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Japke Compaan made the kick off in the second half. If Jhon Roelofs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jhon Roelofs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitrie Zandberg having to interfere. Jhon Roelofs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geert Kuypers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinant Asselbergs kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Japke Compaan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Japke Compaan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Harms having to interfere. Hanendorp VV's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Japke Compaan 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Zethuis's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
