In the 13th minute of the match, Stefan van Hintum tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jelle Valx saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 32nd minute Stefan van Hintum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelle Valx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes Guttekoven got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Robbermond. If Adriaan van der Struijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stefan van Hintum made a kick off. When Ralf Robbermond fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guttekoven's protests and gave Ralf Robbermond a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Ralf Robbermond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Edward Veldman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorn Meulman was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. The Opperdoes S.V. fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Opperdoes S.V.'s Stefan van Hintum looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 71 minutes of play, Guttekoven's Jean-Paul Craandijk made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorn Meulman was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Edward Veldman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jelle Valx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan van Hintum in the 84th minute of play. After 85 minutes of play Guttekoven's Ralf Robbermond was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ralf Robbermond hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Stefan van Hintum hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Adriaan van der Struijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelle Valx having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Thijs Thijsse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
