Stefan van Hintum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 minutes, Adriaan van der Struijk made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Paal FC's Boudewijn Klasen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Opperdoes S.V.'s goalkeeper Jorn Meulman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christiaan Lembeck. Joep Rieks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Paal FC's Tonny van Wonderen got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute of the match Herbert Reis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boudewijn Klasen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Paal FC's Michel Sybring got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Adriaan van der Struijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arnout Eggens in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan van Hintum couldn't finish the play. In the 39thth minute of the game Adriaan van der Struijk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paal FC's Boudewijn Klasen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. René Bosma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jorn Meulman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paal FC's Christiaan Lembeck got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Joep Rieks fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Paal FC booed when Opperdoes S.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thijs Thijsse didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefan van Hintum was the one to do the kick off. Tonny van Wonderen kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Adriaan van der Struijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boudewijn Klasen having to interfere. Adriaan van der Struijk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Stefan van Hintum struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Boudewijn Klasen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Opperdoes S.V.. In the 85th minute, Paal FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adriaan van der Struijk fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Adriaan van der Struijk in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Boudewijn Klasen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Opperdoes S.V. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
