Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hugo Hartlief kicked off to start the match. Roland van den Eede made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean-Paul Craandijk in the 9th minute. Anthony Westra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jelle Valx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jelle Valx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Cardinaal in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Hugo Hartlief had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jelle Valx. Guttekoven's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Hartlief was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Hartlief in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jelle Valx saved Guttekoven from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, Spik FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Veldman came free, but Roland van den Eede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Spik FC's zone, Jean-Paul Craandijk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland van den Eede came out of the goal and Jean-Paul Craandijk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Jordy Rodenboog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Hartlief sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spik FC's Roland van den Eede played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Veldman in the 46th minute of play. The Guttekoven players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Spik FC were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Veldman to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Jean-Paul Craandijk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roland van den Eede was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Jelle Valx successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 59th minute Hugo Hartlief shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelle Valx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Edward Veldman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roland van den Eede was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jelle Valx firmly grabbed it by the left post. Anthony Westra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the game, Hugo Hartlief cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jelle Valx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Spik FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Spik FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
