In the 10th match minute, Guttekoven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Paul Craandijk to maneuver through the defense. Christiaan Lembeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelle Valx having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Edward Veldman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boudewijn Klasen. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Jean-Paul Craandijk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guttekoven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Paul Craandijk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Jean-Paul Craandijk fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Christiaan Lembeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelle Valx having to interfere. Christiaan Lembeck kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Jean-Paul Craandijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jelle Valx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiaan Lembeck in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guttekoven!
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edward Veldman was the one to do the kick off. Boudewijn Klasen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Paul Craandijk in the 53rd minute of play. Jelle Valx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joep Rieks in the 55th minute of the match. Christiaan Lembeck struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Jelle Valx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paal FC. When Paal FC's Joep Rieks in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guttekoven's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Paul Craandijk in the 60th minute of play forced Paal FC's goalkeeper Boudewijn Klasen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jelle Valx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joep Rieks in the 63rd minute of play. If Joep Rieks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Edward Veldman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boudewijn Klasen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boudewijn Klasen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Veldman in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Paal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Veldman came free, but Boudewijn Klasen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joep Rieks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joep Rieks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olof Hartogh charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olof Hartogh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paal FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
