After a rather tough play, Zeeland SC's Gerjan Hertog got a free kick in the 47th minute. Geert van As's late challenge caught a Aschat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geert van As helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Aschat booed when Zeeland SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geert van As didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Jelle Bults made the kick off in the second half. Martijn Sloothaak struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Sander Trenning didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aschat. 60 minutes into the match, Arie van Someren notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Zeeland SC's Sander Trenning. Sander Trenning was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Aschat could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zeeland SC throughout the match.
