Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Harry Brans kicked off to start the match. Jacob Weerd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Brans in the 6th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Hemrik's Harry Brans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacob Weerd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Minnertsga's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Brans came free, but Jacob Weerd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Bos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Minnertsga's zone, Harry Brans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Weerd came out of the goal and Harry Brans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the game, Leon Hebels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minnertsga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hemrik the free kick. After a rather tough play, Minnertsga's Leon Hebels got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Harry Brans came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Hemrik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Brans couldn't finish the play. Harry Brans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute, Leon Hebels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harry Brans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry Brans struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jacob Weerd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hemrik. During the 44th minute of the match Leon Hebels completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Leon Hebels a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Minnertsga's Leon Hebels got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th match minute, Hemrik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arie Zuidam to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Kroeze to make the kick off. Harry Brans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Harry Brans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hemrik's Jan Bos got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harry Brans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Weerd having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Kroeze in the 66th minute of play forced Hemrik's goalkeeper Julius Rodenboog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Harry Brans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Minnertsga getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gerard Brinke hit a great ball. Jacob Weerd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Brans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Minnertsga's David Kroeze nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julius Rodenboog made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.
