In the 21st minute, Boukoul's Theo Seedorf ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julius Rodenboog. Julius Rodenboog yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Steve Klasens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Bos, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Iwan Maurits could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Julius Rodenboog made a huge save. Theo Seedorf was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Boukoul's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harry Brans to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Hemrik got a freekick which was hit by Jan Bos. If Jan Bos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Denny Hoogendorp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theo Seedorf in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julius Rodenboog saved Hemrik from getting behind. Hans Schulte's late challenge caught a Boukoul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hans Schulte helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Boukoul booed when Hemrik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Schulte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iwan Maurits took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julius Rodenboog. Julius Rodenboog dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Julius Rodenboog took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwan Maurits, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Boukoul were awarded a corner. Sipke Craandijk went to the cornerflag to take it. Boukoul's Sipke Craandijk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julius Rodenboog in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julius Rodenboog showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Seedorf, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Hemrik's Hans Schulte got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Hans Schulte off the ground.
