Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Klaas Jan Verweijen started the match with the kick off. Klaas Jan Verweijen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Lukas Halen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Siegerswoude Excelsior's Lukas Halen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaas Jan Verweijen in the 8th minute of play. Henny Kostermans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Lukas Halen made a huge save. When Henny Kostermans came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Couwelaar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henny Kostermans couldn't finish the play. Hans Boezem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert Spiljard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Klaas Jan Verweijen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Henny Kostermans could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Lukas Halen however easily saved by the left post. If Henny Kostermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jim Sándor during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Siegerswoude Excelsior got a freekick which was hit by Jim Sándor. When Henny Kostermans came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Couwelaar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henny Kostermans couldn't finish the play. Klaas Jan Verweijen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert Spiljard was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Tjeerd Klerk recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hans Boezem. Tjeerd Klerk showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. 56 minutes into the match, Siegerswoude Excelsior's Gijsbert Spiljard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans Boezem narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Couwelaar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Siegerswoude Excelsior:s goal. The referee gave Siegerswoude Excelsior a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jacques Brinker, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Couwelaar's Hans Boezem. 0-2. In the 65th match minute, Couwelaar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henny Kostermans to maneuver through the defense. Couwelaar's Klaas Jan Verweijen got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hans Boezem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert Spiljard, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 88 played minutes, Couwelaar's Gio Rodenboog shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lukas Halen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Couwelaar reached it. Lukas Halen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaas Jan Verweijen in the 91st minute of play. Lukas Halen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaas Jan Verweijen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Bas in the 97th minute of play forced Siegerswoude Excelsior's goalkeeper Lukas Halen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chants of Siegerswoude Excelsior echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Couwelaar had held the ball for most of the match.
