When Gijsbert Spiljard got free in front of the goal in the 10th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jelle Saelman was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Donald Zeijlemaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lukas Halen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ferry Bruinsma fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Siegerswoude Excelsior's protests and gave Ferry Bruinsma a yellow card for diving instead. Gijsbert Spiljard succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Donald Zeijlemaker's late challenge caught a Siegerswoude Excelsior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert Spiljard in the 30th minute of play forced Ooy S.C.'s goalkeeper Jelle Saelman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siegerswoude Excelsior's Lukas Halen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Zeijlemaker in the 32nd minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, Ooy S.C.'s Hette Zwartkruis made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lukas Halen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the match, Siegerswoude Excelsior's Tjeerd Klerk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jelle Saelman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Ooy S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Meindert de Kort to maneuver through the defense. Ooy S.C.'s Jelle Saelman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert Spiljard in the 39th minute of play. Donald Zeijlemaker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lukas Halen having to make a save. When Ferry Bruinsma was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Siegerswoude Excelsior's Ferry Bruinsma got a free kick in the 47th minute. Lukas Halen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hette Zwartkruis in the 48th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Hette Zwartkruis made the kick off in the second half. Hette Zwartkruis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukas Halen having to interfere.
