Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jeroen Sanders took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeroen Sanders in the 4th minute of play forced Marienberg's goalkeeper Izaak Beuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sjoerd van de Meerakker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Izaak Beuk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pascall Willemsen in the 19th minute. Herbert Huizing hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Pascall Willemsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andy den Engelsman kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Marienberg's zone, Pascall Willemsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Izaak Beuk came out of the goal and Pascall Willemsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Jeroen Sanders took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Izaak Beuk to make any attempt to save it. In the 40th minute Jeroen Sanders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Izaak Beuk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marienberg! Marcus Sandbergen shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Marienberg were furious when Roelof Korsma was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John Rijkaard to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Jeroen Sanders had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Izaak Beuk. Marienberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeroen Sanders was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 61st minute, Carlo Ijkwezen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berkhout's Wilfred de Swart proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Berkhout from getting a goal against them. After having played for 64 minutes, John Rijkaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marienberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Rijkaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jurjen Ottens struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Wilfred de Swart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marienberg. 70 minutes into the match, John Rijkaard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilfred de Swart. Berkhout's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John Rijkaard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 77 minutes into the match, Gerwin Hummel notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Berkhout's Wilfred de Swart. Wilfred de Swart was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 82 minutes into the match, Marienberg's goal looked a bit too open when Jeroen Sanders came free, but Izaak Beuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pascall Willemsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Izaak Beuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, John Rijkaard made a precise shot to the right of Wilfred de Swart. Berkhout's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Marienberg's Izaak Beuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeroen Sanders in the 90th minute of play. Izaak Beuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeroen Sanders in the 94th minute of play. Izaak Beuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascall Willemsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
