The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Teo Overmars hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sjoerd Niekamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gerald Tellingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sjoerd Niekamp took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferdi Dekens. Ferdi Dekens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacob Planting got free with Christiaan Kruijs in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Heijenraat FC's Christiaan Kruijs threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benjamin Fikkers, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sjoerd Niekamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdi Dekens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Tellingen in the 40th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerald Tellingen in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdi Dekens saved Heijenraat FC from getting behind. When Benjamin Fikkers fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heijenraat FC's protests and gave Benjamin Fikkers a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Heijenraat FC's Benjamin Fikkers got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gert Lamberts during the 46th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sjoerd Niekamp made a kick off. Christiaan Kruijs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jochem Latten in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Willem Dekker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Passerot FC's zone, Teo Overmars stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiaan Kruijs came out of the goal and Teo Overmars tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gerald Tellingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jochem Latten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christiaan Kruijs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Planting in the 77th minute of play. If Jacob Planting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jochem Latten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Christiaan Kruijs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Passerot FC defense, Jochem Latten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiaan Kruijs. The Passerot FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiaan Kruijs should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Passerot FC booed when Heijenraat FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Fikkers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes Heijenraat FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Fikkers. Ferdi Dekens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjoerd Niekamp in the 94th minute of play. Teo Overmars kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
