Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sjoerd Sloedingen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Nathan Zenden 5 minutes into the match. Sjoerd Sloedingen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Diderik Lindenbergh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 26 minutes, Demy van Loo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beers and the Middeldijk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Beers got a freekick which was hit by Demy van Loo. Middeldijk's Theo Hilhorst got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diderik Lindenbergh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nathan Zenden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Antoon van Zaanen kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Diderik Lindenbergh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Koos Ebbinge fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Middeldijk's protests and gave Koos Ebbinge a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, Koos Ebbinge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Diderik Lindenbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beers's supporters rose to their feet, but Diderik Lindenbergh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathan Zenden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diderik Lindenbergh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierre Vennegoor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Beers's Arnout Ubels proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Beers from getting a goal against them. Theo Hilhorst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Ubels having to interfere. Nathan Zenden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diderik Lindenbergh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 played minutes Middeldijk got a freekick which was hit by Godfried Zethof. In the 80th minute, Diderik Lindenbergh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diderik Lindenbergh struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Nathan Zenden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beers. After a rather tough play, Middeldijk's Jurjen Iepstra got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Middeldijk's Theo Hilhorst got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nathan Zenden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diderik Lindenbergh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beers were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Middeldijk for a fine match.
