Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Roeland Berendt got the match started through his kick off. Taco Koopmans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pierre Vennegoor went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Middeldijk's Pierre Vennegoor got a free kick in the 5th minute. A collision led to Elsloo RKSV getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Frank Veentjer hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Pierre Vennegoor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Middeldijk's Pierre Vennegoor got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 minutes, Robin Hauvers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elsloo RKSV and the Middeldijk players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Middeldijk booed when Elsloo RKSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Hauvers didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Andreas Poelman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Elsloo RKSV's Taco Koopmans didn't even have to move. After having played for 21 minutes, Wilfried Swerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elsloo RKSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfried Swerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Godfried Zethof was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Middeldijk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elsloo RKSV the free kick. After a rather tough play, Middeldijk's Godfried Zethof got a free kick in the 26th minute. Pierre Vennegoor took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taco Koopmans. Taco Koopmans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Robin Hauvers hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Taco Koopmans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pierre Vennegoor went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Middeldijk were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Theo Hilhorst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taco Koopmans having to interfere. Middeldijk's Pierre Vennegoor got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robin Hauvers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elsloo RKSV's Frank Veentjer got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Frank Veentjer off the ground. Frank Veentjer hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Elsloo RKSV's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Pierre Vennegoor 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cees de Bruin during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wilfried Swerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 98th minute Pierre Vennegoor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taco Koopmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Middeldijk walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
