Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rien Schipper in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Huib de Vogt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5th minute, Pascall Peeters ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Huib de Vogt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Huib de Vogt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rien Schipper's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After 13 played minutes Ooien VV got a freekick which was hit by Geert Degens. 14 minutes into the match, Kladde's Rien Schipper sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Huib de Vogt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ooien VV's Coos Tinge got a free kick in the 19th minute. With an all-out effort, Kladde's Huib de Vogt threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rien Schipper, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rien Schipper blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Huib de Vogt having to make a save. After 41 played minutes Kladde got a freekick which was hit by Teun Stroeve. The audience was convinced that Roger van Basten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Mol was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Martin Mol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger van Basten in the 44th minute of play. Rien Schipper struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Huib de Vogt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kladde. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roger van Basten made a kick off. Martin Mol didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. After 60 played minutes Ooien VV got a freekick which was hit by Coos Tinge. After having played for 61 minutes, Pascall Peeters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kladde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascall Peeters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Pascall Peeters came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Kladde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascall Peeters couldn't finish the play. Huib de Vogt came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Kladde's Rien Schipper. But to his dismay, Rien Schipper quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 72nd match minute, Ooien VV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henk-Jan Kun to maneuver through the defense. Huib de Vogt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Witting, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Ooien VV's Henry Dorenbosch got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henry Dorenbosch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Martin Mol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pascall Peeters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Huib de Vogt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Ooien VV's Roger van Basten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. After 90 played minutes Ooien VV got a freekick which was hit by Melvin Rinzema. Kladde's Nico Witting got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rien Schipper came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Kladde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rien Schipper couldn't finish the play. Rien Schipper's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Huib de Vogt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
