Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ab Rooze made the kick off and thus started the match. Casper Lans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Twan Zondervan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitrie Steffens came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Ravensgat's Evert Popken. But to his dismay, Evert Popken quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Casper Lans struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Twan Zondervan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gasselte V.V.. If Carsten Tigelaar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Ravensgat's Evert Popken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimitrie Steffens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Popken in the 16th minute of play forced Gasselte V.V.'s goalkeeper Dimitrie Steffens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimitrie Steffens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Popken in the 19th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Casper Lans reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Twan Zondervan. The goal made the score 1-1. Godfried Popping recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dimitrie Steffens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfried Popping, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Godfried Popping cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dimitrie Steffens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frederik van Gessel came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Twan Zondervan could save by the left post. In the 43rd minute, Casper Lans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Twan Zondervan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ab Rooze's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Evert Popken made the kick off in the second half. Casper Lans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ab Rooze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Twan Zondervan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ab Rooze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the game, Ernst Lucius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ravensgat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gasselte V.V. the free kick. In the 61st minute, Ernst Lucius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ab Rooze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geale Walregt charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geale Walregt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 72 minutes into the match, Gasselte V.V.'s Karsten Brürs broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 89 minutes into the match, Gasselte V.V.'s goalkeeper Dimitrie Steffens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfried Popping. After having played for 98 minutes, Evert Popken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ravensgat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evert Popken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
