Barneveld S.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Zijlstra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damien Jans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Nieuwedorp booed when Barneveld S.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bill Castelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filip Kleefstra might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Eylens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filip Kleefstra ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Eylens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filip Kleefstra in the 27th minute. 1-0 became the score in the 30th minute when Stefan Saarloos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Nieuwedorp's Stef Willemse got a free kick in the 45th minute. The supporters of Nieuwedorp booed when Barneveld S.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Zijlstra didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Marco Eylens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Saarloos in the 63rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian van Schaik during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
