Ramon van der Bij took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Rensenbrink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Toni Staarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiel Iemberge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Luijten having to interfere. Ricky Rensenbrink kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Jacobus van der Meijde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Luijten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiel Iemberge struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Andre Luijten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Someren. Jacobus van der Meijde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Andre Luijten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andre Luijten made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Emiel Iemberge sent off a good shot on target. When Vincent Heida fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wijnjeterp's protests and gave Vincent Heida a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Wijnjeterp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Heida to maneuver through the defense. Wijnjeterp's Andre Luijten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobus van der Meijde in the 28th minute of play. Andre Luijten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emiel Iemberge in the 29th minute. When Jan Roelfs fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wijnjeterp's protests and gave Jan Roelfs a yellow card for diving instead. Jacobus van der Meijde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Jacobus van der Meijde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wijnjeterp's Andre Luijten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ramon van der Bij stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gido Pik's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The wind increased when Toni Staarman made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Toni Staarman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon van der Bij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Wijnjeterp's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobus van der Meijde came free, but Andre Luijten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Someren's Ramon van der Bij got control of the ball when Gido Pik tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jacobus van der Meijde's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andre Luijten was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Emiel Iemberge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Luijten having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Jacobus van der Meijde cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Andre Luijten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, Someren's Emiel Iemberge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andre Luijten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. During the 88th minute of the match Vincent Heida completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vincent Heida a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 89 played minutes Wijnjeterp got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Heida. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobus van der Meijde in the 96th minute of play forced Wijnjeterp's goalkeeper Andre Luijten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Someren fans cheered their team off the field, for while Wijnjeterp had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
