Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Staarman in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damien Jans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 9th minute Stefan Saarloos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Luijten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wijnjeterp's Andre Luijten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Jan Lucius in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Wijnjeterp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky Rensenbrink to maneuver through the defense. Andre Luijten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Saarloos's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Stefan Saarloos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Andre Luijten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Kleefstra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andre Luijten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Saarloos in the 41st minute of play. Wijnjeterp's Gido Pik got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Saarloos in the 45th minute of play forced Wijnjeterp's goalkeeper Andre Luijten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Kleefstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Luijten having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Vincent Heida hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Filip Kleefstra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Stefan Saarloos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Gido Pik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damien Jans having to interfere. Gido Pik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Toni Staarman sped through Nieuwedorp's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Damien Jans. In the 66th minute, Stefan Saarloos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Nieuwedorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Bessing to maneuver through the defense. If Toni Staarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Nieuwedorp's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Staarman came free, but Damien Jans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Filip Kleefstra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nieuwedorp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filip Kleefstra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Wijnjeterp's zone, Filip Kleefstra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andre Luijten came out of the goal and Filip Kleefstra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Wijnjeterp's Filip Frankena seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Filip Frankena the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Wijnjeterp protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Filip Frankena had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 84th minute, one of Wijnjeterp:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wijnjeterp. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Nieuwedorp. Thomas Bessing stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andre Luijten. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gido Pik in the 92nd minute of play forced Nieuwedorp's goalkeeper Damien Jans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Kleefstra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 98th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
