Antoon Warneke ran back to his position shaking his head. When Antoon Warneke came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Huibergen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antoon Warneke couldn't finish the play. If Stef Bosstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Huibergen FC's zone, Antoon Joppets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jim Spaan came out of the goal and Antoon Joppets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denny Krol kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When Remond Gerseke came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Zuuk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remond Gerseke couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Zuuk booed when Huibergen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franck Vos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Max Boersma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Max Boersma a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Zuuk's Vincent Pieters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Bemmel in the 96th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Huibergen FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Zuuk for much of the match.
