Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristof Pool ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the match, Harmolen's Kristof Pool sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogier Kruit narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Wilco Palsma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogier Kruit was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niels-Jan Hesseling in the 17th minute of play forced Harmolen's goalkeeper Nico-Jan Even to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristof Pool succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 19th playminute. In the 25th minute, Harmolen's Wilco Palsma ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rogier Kruit. Rogier Kruit yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. A collision led to Harmolen getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Chiel Waesbergen hit a great ball. Chiel Waesbergen's late challenge caught a Laagstraat FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chiel Waesbergen helped the player get up and apologised. Laagstraat FC's Niels-Jan Hesseling got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ernest Onrust fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laagstraat FC's protests and gave Ernest Onrust a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Ernest Onrust hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Wilco Palsma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogier Kruit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilco Palsma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Kristof Pool managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harmolen's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristof Pool was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogier Kruit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laagstraat FC's Rogier Kruit proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Laagstraat FC from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute Niels-Jan Hesseling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico-Jan Even saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niels-Jan Hesseling to make the kick off. Nico-Jan Even showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carsten Vos in the 52nd minute of the match. Nico-Jan Even showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niels-Jan Hesseling, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Rogier Kruit came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Harmolen's Wilco Palsma. But to his dismay, Wilco Palsma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Kristof Pool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Laagstraat FC's Carsten Vos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nico-Jan Even narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Niels-Jan Hesseling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nico-Jan Even was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Wilco Palsma struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Rogier Kruit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harmolen. Harmolen's Wilco Palsma got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harmolen's Nico-Jan Even played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niels-Jan Hesseling in the 93rd minute of play. Carsten Vos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico-Jan Even having to interfere. The supporters of Laagstraat FC booed when Harmolen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurens Onrust didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Harmolen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Laagstraat FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
