Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Laagstraat FC's Niels-Jan Hesseling started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Edwin Spijker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Weimeren FC's Frederik Lemmen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogier Kruit. That made the score 2-0 after 17 minutes of play. Klaas Blom charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klaas Blom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Weimeren FC's Klaas Blom got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that Carsten Vos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dirk-Jan van Rooijen was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After 28 minutes, Adriaan van der Aa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laagstraat FC and the Weimeren FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adriaan van der Aa kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Niels-Jan Hesseling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Laagstraat FC's Raymond Fokkens got a free kick in the 41st minute. With a little luck, Laagstraat FC's Rogier Kruit got control of the ball when Edwin Spijker tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Laagstraat FC booed when Weimeren FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pieter Tuyp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Weimeren FC's Dirk-Jan van Rooijen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niels-Jan Hesseling in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Rogier Kruit stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vincent Gronden's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 61 minutes into the match, Weimeren FC's goalkeeper Dirk-Jan van Rooijen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carsten Vos. After a rather tough play, Weimeren FC's Boukjan Bette got a free kick in the 62nd minute. If Niels-Jan Hesseling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th match minute, Laagstraat FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carsten Vos to maneuver through the defense. Weimeren FC's Dirk-Jan van Rooijen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niels-Jan Hesseling in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Laagstraat FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boukjan Bette came free, but Rogier Kruit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Frederik Lemmen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vincent Gronden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogier Kruit read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Carsten Vos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Dirk-Jan van Rooijen made a huge save. Dirk-Jan van Rooijen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niels-Jan Hesseling, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After some careless play in the Weimeren FC defense, Niels-Jan Hesseling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dirk-Jan van Rooijen. The Weimeren FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dirk-Jan van Rooijen should have stopped the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Laagstraat FC's Niels-Jan Hesseling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dirk-Jan van Rooijen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Niels-Jan Hesseling might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dirk-Jan van Rooijen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niels-Jan Hesseling ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Weimeren FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Laagstraat FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
