The audience thought a goal was coming when Jordi Spijker got free with Nico-Jan Even in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Harmolen's zone, Elmar Plenter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico-Jan Even came out of the goal and Elmar Plenter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nico-Jan Even showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elmar Plenter, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Harmolen's Chiel Waesbergen got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 17 played minutes Harmolen got a freekick which was hit by Chiel Waesbergen. Harmolen's Nico-Jan Even proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Harmolen from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Harmolen's zone, Tonnie Pool stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico-Jan Even came out of the goal and Tonnie Pool tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jordi Spijker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nico-Jan Even showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elmar Plenter, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elmar Plenter in the 38th minute of play forced Harmolen's goalkeeper Nico-Jan Even to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jordi Spijker in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nico-Jan Even, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nico-Jan Even showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elmar Plenter in the 43rd minute of the match. Jordi Spijker was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. Slikewijk HC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elmar Plenter made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Elmar Plenter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nico-Jan Even was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Elmar Plenter took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nico-Jan Even. Nico-Jan Even dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Koen van Damme hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Slikewijk HC's Eddy de Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Slikewijk HC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Slikewijk HC's Ben Kort got a free kick in the 60th minute. Kristof Pool's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eddy de Freitas firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 75th minute Elmar Plenter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico-Jan Even saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristof Pool recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jordi Spijker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Harmolen's Wilco Palsma dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2.
