A collision led to Beets getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Toni Otten hit a great ball. Heiko Batum was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tonny Graaf in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Zeeman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Beets's Oscar Sleiffer got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 10th minute Tonny Graaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Zeeman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Sleiffer kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, René Bult managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zuna FC's supporters rose to their feet, but René Bult was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Zeeman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute Tonny Graaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Zeeman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas van Zomeren got in the 34th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Eric Matthijs handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Eric Matthijs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas van Zomeren, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Zuna FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Lucas van Zomeren scored to the left of an out of position Eric Matthijs, making the score, 1-0. In the 44th minute, Bas Langenbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Zuna FC's René Bult got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Lucas van Zomeren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Bas Langenbach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Matthijs was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. If Lucas van Zomeren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Zeeman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tonny Graaf, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. René Bult sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonny Graaf in the 85th minute of play forced Beets's goalkeeper Humberto Zeeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bas Langenbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Matthijs having to interfere.
