Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Jos van Gessel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent van Dam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jos van Gessel in the 4th minute of play forced Leersum's goalkeeper Vincent van Dam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Twan Olfers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 7 minutes, Nigel Zeeman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leersum and the Hushoven players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Nigel Zeeman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Harm Aukes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robin Iepstra. Hushoven's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harm Aukes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Twan Olfers scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincent van Dam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jos van Gessel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent van Dam having to interfere. Jos van Gessel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Vincent van Dam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Edwin Aerts in the 29th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harm Aukes got free with Robin Iepstra in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jos van Gessel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Leersum's zone, Twan Olfers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vincent van Dam came out of the goal and Twan Olfers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucien Schuurmans kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Harm Aukes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leersum's supporters rose to their feet, but Harm Aukes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Iepstra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Koen van Aalderen during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hushoven getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Koen van Aalderen hit a great ball. With a little luck, Hushoven's Robin Iepstra got control of the ball when Roger Broekema tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

2-1 became the score in the 57th minute when Edwin Aerts elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Nigel Zeeman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jos van Gessel in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vincent van Dam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 68 minutes into the game, Hushoven's Jos van Gessel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vincent van Dam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Twan Olfers might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vincent van Dam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Twan Olfers ran back to his position shaking his head. Jos van Gessel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucien Schuurmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jos van Gessel came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Hushoven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jos van Gessel couldn't finish the play. Robin Iepstra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harm Aukes in the 96th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
