Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mart Evers took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Roger Broekema was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leersum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tull the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Leersum fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 2nd minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in Tull's zone, Edwin Aerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henk Bas came out of the goal and Edwin Aerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henk Bas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harm Aukes in the 11th minute. Tull's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Edwin Aerts scored to the left of an out of position Henk Bas, making the score, 1-1. Mart Evers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent van Dam having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mart Evers in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vincent van Dam saved Leersum from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mart Evers in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vincent van Dam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Timo Swerts struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Vincent van Dam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tull. Vincent van Dam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mart Evers, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Edwin Aerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Edwin Aerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Leersum booed when Tull was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Dalmeijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Edwin Aerts came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Leersum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edwin Aerts couldn't finish the play. Leersum's Vincent van Dam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mart Evers in the 61st minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Leersum's goal looked a bit too open when Mart Evers came free, but Vincent van Dam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Harm Aukes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Henk Bas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harm Aukes in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henk Bas saved Tull from getting behind. Timo Swerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Vincent van Dam managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Tull's Timo Swerts fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Timo Swerts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vincent van Dam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Henk Bas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harm Aukes in the 88th minute of play. Leersum's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
