The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Casper Assendelft was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sleewijk FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beesel HC the free kick. Victor Ridder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Sterenberg in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Harmen Hermensen made a precise shot to the right of Victor Ridder. Beesel HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Beesel HC's goal looked a bit too open when Harmen Hermensen came free, but Victor Ridder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Beesel HC's Henny Wielens got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Harmen Hermensen struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Victor Ridder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sleewijk FC. Harmen Hermensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Ridder having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Sterenberg in the 38th minute of play forced Beesel HC's goalkeeper Victor Ridder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Guus Boeringe put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Domenik Rieks.

The wind increased when Bram Hilbrands made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Bram Hilbrands cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Domenik Rieks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Guus Boeringe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beesel HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guus Boeringe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domenik Rieks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Beesel HC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Mirko Oosterbaan hit a great ball. Victor Ridder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Sterenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Harmen Hermensen could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Victor Ridder however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Wim Sterenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sleewijk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Sterenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Ridder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harmen Hermensen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Victor Ridder made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Sleewijk FC's Niels-Jan Zeegers got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Guus Boeringe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 92nd minute, Guus Boeringe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beesel HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After a rather tough play, Beesel HC's Remco Wehkamp got a free kick in the 95th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Sterenberg in the 99th minute of play forced Beesel HC's goalkeeper Victor Ridder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
