Co Lambers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roelof Beishuizen, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Govert Alferink sped through Westerholte's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pim Oosterveld. Andre Fens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Co Lambers having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Oosterens FC's Jan van Persie got a free kick in the 95th minute.
