Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tilligte's Marcus Borst started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Falco Houtman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferry Homan in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Marco Teunissen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geul's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Teunissen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falco Houtman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Jef Kolkman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Falco Houtman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Teunissen, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 17 played minutes Tilligte got a freekick which was hit by Jurgen van der Valk. Marco Teunissen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falco Houtman having to interfere. Ferry Homan struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Falco Houtman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geul. The audience was convinced that Ferry Homan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Falco Houtman was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, Tilligte's Wim Mans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronald Stolte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Ferry Homan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Falco Houtman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 44th minute, Wim Mans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Geul! The goalkeeper, Ronald Stolte, was totally fooled by Tilligte's Jack Baalman, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferry Homan to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Ferry Homan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Jack Baalman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tilligte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geul the free kick. A collision led to Tilligte getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jack Baalman hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Ferry Homan notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Tilligte's Falco Houtman. Falco Houtman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute Marcus Borst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Stolte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jef Kolkman charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jef Kolkman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Tilligte getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jef Kolkman hit a great ball. Ferry Homan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falco Houtman having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Geul's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Mans came free, but Ronald Stolte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Mans in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronald Stolte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Tilligte. Jack Baalman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ronald Stolte. 2-2. If Co van Kempen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 90 minutes into the match, Geul's Co van Kempen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Falco Houtman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabiën Rensenbrink during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabiën Rensenbrink kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. If Wim Mans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
