Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Johan Daniels took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ronald Stolte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Daniels in the 5th minute of the match. Rafael Ottens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferry Homan, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Co van Kempen kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match Ronny Struik shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronald Stolte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Halfweg FC's Bertus Zeegelaar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronald Stolte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Johan Daniels came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Halfweg FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johan Daniels couldn't finish the play. Rafael Ottens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferry Homan in the 21st minute of play. Halfweg FC's Bertus Zeegelaar managed to work through Geul's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bertus Zeegelaar dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ronald Stolte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Daniels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Fabiën Rensenbrink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronald Stolte came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Halfweg FC's Johan Daniels. But to his dismay, Johan Daniels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bertus Zeegelaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Stolte having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferry Homan to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Bertus Zeegelaar put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ronald Stolte. The supporters of Geul booed when Halfweg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huib Hohenstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferry Homan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Rafael Ottens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Geul's Marco Teunissen made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Ottens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafael Ottens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Teunissen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dick Wekenburg hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Teunissen in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Ottens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Teunissen in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Ottens saved Halfweg FC from getting behind. 88 minutes into the game, Huib Hohenstein was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Halfweg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geul the free kick. Huib Hohenstein hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Rafael Ottens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Teunissen, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Geul supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Halfweg FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Halfweg FC.
