Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stef Heebels kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Tonny Winters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Werner Stok hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gaasten's zone, Erik Been stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurens Bouwman came out of the goal and Erik Been tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Gaasten's Harold Wortelboer got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 18 minutes, Vincent de Groot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaasten and the Vroenhout players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Gaasten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent de Groot to maneuver through the defense. Jurre Baars took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaas Jan Rekers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Vroenhout's Tonny Winters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laurens Bouwman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stef Heebels in the 27th minute of play forced Gaasten's goalkeeper Laurens Bouwman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Klaas Jan Rekers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gaasten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 32 minutes into the game, Gaasten's Mathijs Lindeman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jurre Baars made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Jurre Baars showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathijs Lindeman, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Vroenhout's Jurre Baars played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaas Jan Rekers in the 42nd minute of play.

Tonny Winters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Laurens Bouwman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Stef Heebels made a precise shot to the right of Laurens Bouwman. Gaasten's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klaas Jan Rekers during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Gaasten got a freekick which was hit by Klaas Jan Rekers. Mathijs Lindeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Gaasten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vroenhout the free kick. Werner Stok hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Luc Ricksen charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luc Ricksen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Gaasten got a freekick which was hit by Luc Ricksen. Tonny Winters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vroenhout's Stef Heebels got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Klaas Jan Rekers could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Jurre Baars however easily saved by the left post. If Stef Heebels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Gaasten players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
